Hair Care Routine (Lush Products)

Hey! It's been a while...

Superbalm

My hair care routine changes so much, I think it's due to the weather here in the UK... its mostly cold around this time of year, but we do get the odd warm days. The constant change in weather can really do some damage to your hair and skin. But since I have very fine hair, I find that it gets dry and dull most of the time. I also suffer from very bad eczema on my scalp, causing it to be very dry and flaky. I headed to my local Lush store becuase I remembered from my experience working there that they had a product called 'Superbalm' Its a scalp treatment but can also be used on legs, arms etc. It has Rose wax and Chamomile Oil which are both calming and soothing on the scal, as well as Lavender Oil and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to soften and moisurise the scalp. You only need to use a little, since a littlge goes a long way with this product. I've been using it for 4 months now and I've noticed a considerate amoount of difference with my scalp, It's no where near as itchy or flaky, and I've found my scalp to be a lot more hydrated. I've also noticed my hair starting to grow faster now, which is amazing as it hasnt grown much in the past 2 years.

Roots

Since my scalp was a lot healthier, I thought it was time to sort my actual hair out! As its very fine and thin, I was looking for a rich and moisturing hair mask or treatment...Something that would actually make a difference. Thats when I came across Roots Hair Treatment. It has 3 different types of mint which helps to stimulate the scalp, which also helps the hair to grow. It also has honeyin it which moisurises and can also be used as an antiseptic, which helped loads with my flaky scalp. Finally it is scented with orange, neroli and grapefruit, which are all uplifting and moodlifting scents.

I use the two together once a week, I put them both on my scalp at around 8pm in the evening, and then wash them both out the next day. I found leaving them both in over night really gave the product the oppertunity to really sink and get to work.

A couple of photo's of my hair after the treatments.

I hope you found this post useful, if you have any questions dont be afraid to leave a comment!

My Lush Collection and Give Away! (CLOSED)

So I'll try and keep this a short and brief as I can! Here is my Lush collection, if you have any questions or wanting more detailed reviews on specific products then just leave a comment and I'll get on it!

Face Care:

Honey Trap Lip Balm; The thickest and richest lip balm out of the Lush Cosmetics range. Honey and oatmeal help soothe the lips and the wheat germ olive and almond oils moisturise, and beeswax and carnauba wax help protect your lips from the harshest of weathers. Its my all time favorite lip balm!

Ultrabland; My number 1 desert Island product. help cleanses and removes make up from the face, its hypersensitive ingredients make it easy to use for anyone to use!

Breath Of Fresh Air water toner; Refreshes and cleanses the face, pairs well with Ultrabland to remove make up.

Eau Roma Water Toner water: Brilliant for sensitive skin, cleans and refreshes delicate skin!

Enchanted Eye Cream; brilliant for puffy sore eyes, will do nothing for black eyes unfortunately, but works amazingly to make even the most tired of eyes feel better.

Body Care:

Dream Cream hand and body lotion; Dream Cream has worked absolute wonders for my Eczema on my legs and arms! I would recommend this lotion to everybody, it even works well on Dermatitis, relieves the itching and redness, yet moisturises the body incredibly well and lasts quite a while!

Celebrate body lotion; A very uplifting body lotion, the ingredients work well together to create such a beautiful citrus smell. Oranges, almond oil and lime, you couldn't go wrong! This was one of the Christmas editions along with First Snow dusting powder. (Unused) Give Away 2 available.

First Snow Dusting Powder; Pairs well with Celebrate as the two smell similar, works amazingly as a body highlighter as well as putting it on after a body lotion to stop you feeling all icky yet still allows to lotion to moisturise, it also gives a shimmering effect the the skin. (Unused) Give Away 2 available.

D'Fluff Shaving soap; My all time favorite shaving product, the sweet smell of fresh Strawberries causes the relieving of shaving rashes as well as leaving the skin irresistibly soft!

Hair Care:

No Drought Dry Shampoo: Truly is a lifesaver when short for time, Grapefruit and Lime scented, the beautiful fresh grapefruit absorbs all the excess oil from the hair leaving it clean and refreshed for the day!

Shine So Bright for Split Ends; so after about 4 weeks of using it, I can really notice the difference, my split ends are looking much healthier and my hair is starting to grow! The Shea butter helps conditions the ends whilst the glamorous uplifting Neroli leaves the hair smelling happy.

Honey I washed my Hair solid Shampoo; I couldn't believe how healthy this product left my hair looking! It also has the same fragrance as Honey I washed the Kids soap (huge bonus), the only downfall was that my hair went extremely flat after every use, still love the product though.

New Solid Shampoo; The Nettles and Cinnamon causes a healthy blood flow to the scalp, a healthy scalp equals healthy hair, it also equals long hair! I recommend this bar to anyone who's trying to grow their hair, you'll start to see the difference after 1 whole bar, but it does work! 1 bar =80 washes which is massive benefit when using shampoo bars! they last forever!

Daddy-o shampoo; Absolutely amazing for blondes although it works on brunettes too! The Violets and fresh lemons work beautifully together to brighten any brassy tones in the hair. Pairs extremely well with American Cream hair conditioner.

American Cream Hair Conditioner; This product has literally blown me away. Since I bleach my hair, my hair always looks unhealthy and dead, but not anymore, since I discovered American Cream, my hair has never been so healthy, it look longer, healthier and brighter. It is also kind to the scalp and leaves your hair with a beautiful Vanillary scent!

Happy Happy Joy Joy; I am yet to use this product, but I can tell you that the beautiful Neroli scent will leave you and your hair happy for days. (Unused) Give Away, 1 available.

Big Shampoo; I have thin hair, and I'm always looking for new ways to make it look thicker and fuller, but thanks to Big, I have achieved this goal. The sea salt helps to lift and bring volume to my hair, and it smells absolutely amazing!

Hair Doctor; Works amazingly well for both the scalp and hair, I recommend it if you have a flakey scalp.

Sea Spray; Pairs well with Big shampoo, helps create lift and volume for the hair.
Let me know if you want a hair care routine!

Shower Gels:

My Make Up Essentials

I'm not going to pretend that I know a lot about make up, because I really don't. But I am going to share with you the make up that I have found really works for me! I don't use all this make up every single day, it's what I'd put on if i'm leaving the house and just going to town etc. All the other days I would probably just about fill my eyebrows in and that's it! Anyway, these are my make up essentials:

It all looks a bit messy, I know, but I will take you through each product individually!

Olay Total Effects Touch of Maxfactor Foundation.

I'm not one to wear foundation, it just makes my skin feel really heavy and causes the odd spot on my face. Since I rarely get spots, I wanted to keep it that way, and with this foundation it does. It is so light on the skin it doesn't feel like I have anything on it, it doesn't clog up my pores and it holds it stay throughout the day. My favorite so far.

After adding the Olay Foundation I would use just a tiny amount of Mac Studio Fix on top, I would apply a little amount to my brush and tap any excess powder off, it gives my make up more of a matt finished look.

I would then add Mac Dollymix Sheertone Shimmer Blush to the cheek bones, the colour is so subtle it actually looks quite natural! It's such a pretty colour too!

Next I would start on the eyes, I would use the darkest colour as a base coat from my No7 Naked Nudes palette, and I would then add L'oreal Chrome Shine number 175 on top and blend the two together.

I would then add a thin eyeliner over the top of my eyelid on the lash line,  and at the bottom lash line, I would then smudge the eyeliner over before adding a bit more L'oreal Chrome Shine over the eyeliner and blending it in. For this I would use Models Own black eyeliner pencil, as it is double sided and had an eyeliner smudger on the over end.

I would then fill in and shape my eyebrows very faintly with Saffron Blonde waterproof eyebrow pencil. This is the only pencil that I could find that suited my skin and hair tone, i looks the most naturalist and only cost's me £1 which is crazy.

Last but not least, I would add my mascara, I am currently in love with Benefit's They're Real Mascara. They honestly really maximum my lashes and I always get asked if they're actually real! It is extremely pricey for a mascara, but it is well worth the money.

This is what my finished look would be, I would also add some Honey Trap lip balm from Lush  with  some Mac 24 hours Long Lasting Lip Gloss on top to complete the look. If you have any make up favorites that you wish to share or any good make up tips then please do leave a comment! :)

Bath and Skincare Baskets

Both of my baskets are handmade and I absolutely adore both of them! I needed two baskets as I wanted to separate my bath products from my skincare products. The heart shaped woven basket is from Matalan and was £8 and my white handmade basket was £6.99 from Poundstretcher. They were both bargains and I ran at the opportunity as soon as I saw them! They are sat directly on top of my white chester drawers and make my room smell absolutely gorgeous! I also I have two vanilla scented candles sat in between the baskets just to add that extra sweet smell to my collection! Just looking at it everyday makes me feel happy and it also helps to keep my products in good condition! Would you guys like a Basket Haul? Let me know in the comments below and also if you have any other questions!

Breath of Fresh Air and Ultrabland Make up Removal and Skincare

Today I'm going to show you how these two brilliant products that are both from Lush Cosmetics can take off make up, as well as keep your skin clear and healthy.
So what you will need is the 'Ultrabland Facial cleanser' and 'Breath of Fresh Air Water Toner' and also a face flannel or some cotton pads. Both the products I'm using can be purchased in your local store or online.

The first step is to get your Ultrabland facial cleanser on the tip of your finger, make sure you have enough to cover your whole face with.

Second step is to then rub the cleanser onto your face and make up. It will look quite messy and icky but don't worry we'll be wiping it off straight after, and also be careful not to get the cleanser directly into the eye.

Third step is to grab your face flannel/cotton pad and spray the 'Breath of Fresh Air water toner' directly onto it.

Fourth step is to then wipe off all of the cleanser and make up using the flannel/cotton pad. This should leave your skin clean from any make up and also really soft and smooth from the facial cleanser and toner water.

Before using my make up removal technique.

After using my make up removal technique.

So that was my tutorial and step by step on how to remove make up using these two beautiful skincare products. I love using this technique as it is just such a gentle and easy way to remove make up, it also always leaves my skin soft and cleansed, just what I need before I go to bed! I hope you enjoyed this technique and leave a comment letting me know what your favourite skincare brand is and also if you would like me to do some more skincare tutorials!

Eyesright Mascara from Lush Cosmetics Review

I had been dying to try out this product for months! I bought the mascara 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The mascara itself contains fresh wheatgrass in it which helps condition eyelashes, leaving them strong and healthy. At first I was a little put off by the size of the product, until one of the Lushies who work there told me that the whole point of the small packaging is the small mascara wand. The wand is small so that you can scoop pretty much all of the product out, meaning none of the actual product gets wasted on the long wand. Therefore the product will last longer and you will get more uses out of it. I am extremely pleased with this product, not only do my eyelashes look and feel healthier, the mascara itself looks great! I will definitely be repurchasing this item for sure.
